Morris (1834-1896) friend of E.
Burne-Jones, studied as architect before becoming pattern designer
of great note creating wallpapers, book decorations, and
tapestry weaving. Founded Morris & Co in 1861 worked closely
with Philip Webb (architect), Ford Madox Brown, George Jack and
